The foundation of Black Rock Services is deeply rooted in a Commitment to Excellence coupled with consistent customer service. Black Rock Services was founded on the need for consistent quality materials in the Middle Rio Grande Valley. Our founders have been involved in the heavy civil construction market for decades and began noticing the decline in quality and availability of construction materials amongst local material suppliers. Knowing that these materials are foundational for the growth of our local communities, they set out to find and build a better source.

Black Rock Service’s aggregate mine is the area’s most consistent, highest quality mine yielding premier crushed stone most desirable for asphalt production, redi-mix concrete, and even decorative landscape. With over 90 million tons of reserves our consistency and quality will be long lasting.

We have two locations to serve you that are open to the public and contractors. 

Albuquerque:

At our Albuquerque location you can pick up asphalt and construction aggregates:

Our Los Lunas location is our distribution yard and you can pickup construction aggregate:

Asphalt Capabilities

Between our two Hot Mix Asphalt Plant Locations we are capable of producing 600+ tons / hour of continuous plant mix to support the needs of Central New Mexico.

Superior Quality Asphalt Mixes

To complement our effort to quality control our aggregates and mixes, numerous independent testing labs have communicated to us that our aggregate source is one of the best currently available in the State of New Mexico. Black Rock’s asphalt plant was officially fully operational in late summer 2016. Over the course of this time we have continued to refine our plant’s quality control processes to offer the highest quality of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) available in Albuquerque and surrounding areas.

As of 2023 we have a team of over 35 full-time employees spanning from our well-built aggregate crushing operation in Los Lunas NM, to our two Hot Mix Asphalt plant location in the Albuquerque Metro Area, and into our volcanic cinder operation in Santa Fe NM, we are here to support you. Black Rock is always working hard to be your preferred partner in production. We serve a wide range of customers of all sizes. We are committed to providing quality products and services for all our customers to meet their production needs.
